YouthLaw is a free legal service which provides advice and resources to support young people throughout Aotearoa.

It takes courage to make a stand against bullying and to tell someone about it.

Try to find an adult you trust and feel comfortable with, and let them know about it. This is really important! Remember, you have done nothing wrong by asking for help and it is your right to not be bullied!

YouthLaw Aotearoa is a free community law centre for children and young people nationwide. They provide free legal services to anyone under the age of 25 who is unable to access legal help elsewhere, or those acting on their behalf.

If you need support and you don’t want to talk with someone you know, you could try:

  • Youthline: 0800 37 66 33 or free text 234 – free telephone counselling for young people.
  • Kidsline: 0800 53 47 54 – telephone support for nine to 13-year-olds.
  • Shine: 0508 744 633 – free telephone counselling line.

If you’re totally unsure about what to do, and need some legal help, you can give YouthLaw a call at 0800 UTHLAW (884 529)
